Ekho heart rate monitors (HRMs) are produced by a company based in Minneapolis. This US-based company has taken as its mission to help combat America's increasing problems of obesity affecting both children and adults. In line with that mission, most Ekho HRMs come equiped with a calorie counter.

The National Volunteer Fire Council has recommended the use of Ekho HRMs by its fire fighters to help them stay healthy.

Lady of America, a chain of fitness centers for women, has also chosen the Ekho calorie counting HRMs as its preferred heart rate monitors for use by its members.

The E series:

Ekho E-15 Basic Manual heart rate training zone. Calorie counter.

Ekho E-20 Basic Same as E-15 plus backlight.

Ekho E-300 Intermediate Manual/Auto heart rate training zone. Calorie counter. Timer. Time above/in/below target zone. Backlight.

Ekho E-351 Intermediate Same as E-300 plus 60 Lap counter.
